Coaching Staff Additions
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Silver Knights Identify 2025 Assistant Coaches Nashua, NH — October 22, 2024 — The Silver Knights are thrilled to announce key updates to the coaching staff, including the addition of Steven Mooney as the team’s new assistant coach focused on hitters. Mooney currently serves as an Assistant Coach at Canisius University, where he plays an essential role in developing catchers and pitchers. He will be joining the Silver Knights at the conclusion of their season this spring. In addition to Mooney, Spencer Bergeron will continue as the team’s pitching coach for his third year, including his instrumental role in the 2022 championship team. A Nashua native, Bergeron played at Nashua North and spent two seasons with the Silver Knights, offering invaluable local insight and experience. Mooney's coaching experience includes a summer stint with the Jamestown Tarp Skunks in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) in 2024. His commitment to player development will be crucial as the Silver Knights strive for success in the upcoming season. "I’m excited to have Steven on board with us this Summer," said Silver Knights Manager, Nick Guarino. "His ability to work with multiple position groups at the collegiate level, and his passion for the game makes him a great fit on the staff." The newly tabbed Field Manager also mentioned the importance of retaining Spencer Bergeron from the previous staff, “Spencer’s familiarity with Nashua and the organization is a major asset for us. His emphasis on winning games and developing pitchers made it an easy decision.” The Silver Knights welcome Steven Mooney and the return of Spencer Bergeron to Holman Stadium this summer and look forward to their on-field product.
