Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but the Silver Knights have pulled off a massive victory in Eastern Connecticut once again. Nashua followed up their Sunday win in Norwich with another one on Tuesday, with the Knights pitching staff leading the way in the win.

Northeastern’s Cam Keaveney, in his fourth start, was excellent off the bump for Nashua. Keaveney went five and ⅓ innings with just two hits and no runs. Keaveney’s heroics along with a Nashua offense that has been hot as of late was the exact recipe needed for a 6-4 win.

The “Late Night Knights” were at it again on Tuesday, scoring four in the eighth to pull away in what was a 2-1 ballgame. UMass Lowell’s River Hart opened the scoring in the inning with a two-RBI double, with two more runs coming from an error and an RBI single from Siena’s Jeff Valdez.

Nashua also opened the scoring in the game overall as well, with Central Michigan’s Drew Loikits doubling in the fourth to make it 2-0.

The 2-0 lead was enough to cruise until the seventh inning where UConn’s Connor Lane cashed in on a sacrifice fly to make it 2-1. One run ball games have not been the Silver Knights strong suit this season, but the Nashua lineup made sure to take care of it.

Endicott’s Kyan Bagshaw and Wake Forest’s Andrew Koshy handled business in the eighth and nine once again for Nashua. After Norwich got three in the eighth off Penn State’s Will Perkowski, the Knights’ 1-2 punch sealed the deal with Koshy striking out two and earning the save.

An all-around game from the Knights marked their second straight win in Norwich, giving them the chance to sweep the three-game stretch against the Sea Unicorns with a meeting scheduled on Wednesday. Nashua and Norwich are set for a 6:00 PM first pitch at Holman.
