In what was a jam-packed week of action and fun at Historic Holman Stadium, the 2024 Silver Knights were not the only ones grabbing the Nashua headlines.

Andrew Jemison, a 2022 Silver Knight and Champion from St. Thomas Aquinas College, had his contract purchased by the Toronto Blue Jays to become a part of their organization. Jemison was playing with the Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League before the announcement on Thursday as he awaits his assignment for the franchise.

Jemison played a big role in the 2022 championship season for Nashua, hitting .286 with 15 RBI during the regular season. Jemison was a regular at third base for the Knights with his consistent glove and bat providing stability for a Knights team that caught fire to end the summer. Monroe, New York’s own appeared in two playoff games, including working a walk and stealing a bag in an 11-3 win over New Britain in the semifinals.

Playing five seasons for the STAC Spartans, the utility infielder has brought his A-Game to every stop in his career. Jemison batted over .300 in four of his five years with the team, reaching the 30+ RBI mark twice. After his collegiate career wrapped up, Drew headed to the Staten Island Ferry Hawks (Atlantic League) for 13 games in the summer of 2023.

Holman Stadium and Nashua is no stranger to the Jemison family, with Drew’s father Andrew Jemison Sr. playing for the Nashua Pride at Holman in their inaugural season (1998). Now 26 years later, the Jemisons are still making history in Nashua with Andrew being the first player of the 2022 championship team to reach the professional level.

Jemison is the 36th player in Silver Knights history to be signed/drafted by an MLB organization, as Nashua and the Futures League get ready to honor more alumni with the 2024 Draft just two weeks away.

The Nashua Silver Knights want to congratulate Andrew on his signing, as we wish him the best of luck with the Toronto organization.
