Knights Drop Pitcher's Duel

(Nashua, NH): There were not many chances for offense on Thursday night, as Nashua fell 3-1

against Worcester, losing a game on the Bravehearts in the standings. With the North Shore
victory over Brockton, the Knights remain 3 games ahead of the Rox for the final championship
spot.

The Hearts would break the scoreless tie in the 6 th inning, as Tyler Patane (Franklin Pierce)
singled in 2 runs. Worcester would add their final run in the 7 th , a Matt Shaw (Maryland) solo
home run.

Nashua would load the bases in the 7 th with no outs, but get nothing out of it. In the 9 th , Max
Viera (Northeastern) singled and scored the lone Knights run on a loud Kyle Bouchard (Nichols)
single to the right field corner.

Starting pitching was the story for most of the game as both starters recorded decisions. Cole
Chudoba (Assumption) went 6 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits while walking 2 and striking
out 6. Pat Harrington was strong, but did not receive run support. In the loss, he went 5.2IP,
giving up 5H, 2R, 1ER, on 1BB and 7K. Brad Marchetti (Tufts) got the save.

Nashua falls to 20-14 on the summer and heads to Brockton Friday at 5PM for a big matchup
with the Rox. They host North Shore Saturday at 4:30 in a game broadcast regionally by NESN,
before heading back to Brockton on Sunday at 3PM. Subscribe to the FCBL Network and catch
