(Lynn, MA): The Silver Knights saw their 3-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night, as they fell to the North Shore Navigators by a score of 6-2. The Navs extend their early lead in the FCBL standings (6-0), while Nashua remains in second (3-4).

North Shore grabbed their first two runs in the first inning. After Ben Malgeri (Northeastern) was hit by a pitch, Cody Morissette (Boston College) would triple. Alex Brickman (Dayton) would then single, scoring Morissette from third. In the second, Jake McElroy (Holy Cross) singled to lead off the inning, a Malgeri triple would later score him. Peter Burns (Boston College) and Logan Bravo (Harvard) chipped in with singles in the third. Burns would score in the inning. The Navs would finish their scoring in the fourth, as Jonathan Luders (Seton Hall) and Sal Frelick (Boston College) both singled and would score on Morissette’s single.

Nashua would not get on the board until the 9th inning, the first runs scored since the fourth inning, when they threatened by putting the tying run on deck with the bases loaded but could not convert on the chance. The recently hot offense only mustered four singles in the game. John Mead (Franklin Pierce) would single to start the inning. Dylan Jones (Franklin Pierce) would walk before an error by the Navs infield allowed Troy Schreffler (Maryland) to reach, loading the bases. Ben Rounds (Harvard) would walk, scoring Mead. A wild pitch during Nick Perkins’ (Endicott) at bat would score Jones.

Gavin Sullivan (Stetson) picked up the win for North Shore. He went four innings, only giving up two hits and one walk, while striking out four. Luke Marshall (Stonehill) picked up the save for the Navigators. Knights starter Joe Quintal (Fordham) went three innings in the loss, giving up 4ER on seven hits and one strikeout.
