Stadnicki's Huge Week Tops Week 2 Round-up

The Merrimack duo once again put together a huge weekend, this time in a four game set against Michigan State. Kurt Stadnicki totaled 8 hits and 6 RBIs against the Spartans, while Timmy Kalantzakos started game 1 going 5 innings while allowing 4 earned and striking out 6 in the no decision. Merrimack won the series 3 games to 1. 

Lefty Nick Guarino took the mound for Clark University, opening up the season against Elms. He pitched 8.1 innings and struck out 7 batters while allowing 2 earned runs in the loss. 
 
The Silver Knights coming in from the University of Maryland kept their hot start going. Outfielder Tony Schreffler Jr. launched his first home run of the 2020 season for 2 RBIs. Infielder Matt Orlando also registered an RBI on the weekend.
 
2020 Silver Knight catcher, Ed Jarvis, went 1-3 with a triple and a run against USF this weekend for the Northeastern Huskies. 
 
Siena shortstop Donovan Montgomery saw a lot of action this week as he hit .250 with a double and a pair of RBIs.
 
John Mead, outfielder from Franklin Pierce, kicked off his season with a bang going 3-5 with a run scored before finishing off the week hitting .222 with 2 runs scored.
 
Sacred Heart pitcher, Jack Kramer, took the mound for his first start of the 2020 campaign. He went 2.2 innings and struck out 3 in the loss to VCU.
 
Nashua native and Endicott Gull Nick Perkins registered his first hit in the opening weekend. He also tacked on 2 RBIs, 2 runs, and walked twice.
