Blues Sneak Past Knights

In nail biting fashion, the Bristol Blues were able to escape Holman Stadium with a victory to kick off the week. The Silver Knight's defensive miscues were the difference maker, as in the 7 runs allowed, only 1 was earned. Newly acquired starter Joe Quintal (Fordham) set the table with 4 strong innings, followed by Spencer Bergeron (UMass) giving 2. Brady McGarry (Saint Leo's) took the loss on the game without giving up an earned run.

Ben Irvine (Maryland) and Luis Atiles (New England College) lead the offense charge for Nashua, as they both registered 2 hits and an RBI a piece. The Knights were able to put up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th, thanks to a triple off the bat of Irvine followed by an E1. The Knights would come up short in their late inning heroics however.

The Silver Knights are at Holman once again on Tuesday as they will be taking on the North Shore Navigators at 7pm. The promo is baseball card set giveaway and the players will be signing autographs on the field following the conclusion of the game.
