Late Rally Falls Short in Brockton

The Silver Knights had a quick turnaround from last night's game against the Pittsfield Suns, as they headed down to Brockton, MA for a 10:30am first pitch against the 2nd place Rox. It was a quiet start to the game until Rox Gabe Giosso hit a 2-run homer in the third inning to give the Rox a 2-1 lead. They continued to pile on in the late innings as Donofrio and Sullivan also tacked on homeruns of their own.

The Knights entered the final inning trailing 10-4. Noah Lucier and Josh Brodeur brought in some runs to chip away at the lead, and Kyle Sandstrom stayed hot as he drove in 2 runs on a single to center field, his 3rd RBI of the day. The lead was cut down to just 2, but the rally fell short as the Rox were able to close it out.

The Knights play their 7th game of this 12 game stretch tomorrow back at Holman in a rematch against the Pittsfield Suns.
