Jones Leads Knights Offensive Surge

The Silver Knights went into Lynn today and brought their hot offense along for the ride. In the 2nd consecutive morning game, the early start times don't seem to be much of a bother for the Knights. After picking up their first win of the season yesterday in Nashua in front of a crowd of 1,003 screaming students, they did the same today in front of the Navigator's student fan base.

Dylan Jones lead the charge with 3 of the Silver Knights 5 hits, while driving in 5 runs on his own. The big turning point was when Jones stepped to the plate down 2 runs in the top of the 6th. He smashed a 3 run triple to give the Knights the lead.

The Navs fought back to tie the game at 4 in the bottom half, but the wheels fell off for the North Shore bullpen. The Silver Knights tallied 10 walks in the ballgame, leading to a 5 run outburst in the top of the 7th.

Joe Grassett picked up the save in the ballgame, the first Silver Knight save of the summer. He tossed 2.2 innings, struck out 4, allowed just 1 hit, and didn't give up a single run to seal the deal for Nashua.

The Knights will be back in action at Historic Holman Stadium this Friday the 7th to take on the newest member of the FCBL: the Westfield Starfires. It will be the first ever matchup between the two teams
