Education Day Brings a W

 The Silver Knights put on a show for local students on Tuesday. Education Day saw a crowd of 1,003 fans, students, and teachers. The Knights took advantage of the engaged fans and gave them something to cheer about right away. After a quick inning from Franklin Pierce's Danny Gracia, both Dylan Jones and Kyle Sandstrom reached base to bring up Joe Bramanti. Bramanti delivered with a big 2-RBI double over the head of the left fielder. Ben Cowles followed in suit, with an RBI double of his own.

 

The Knights stretched their lead to 8 in the 4th, RBIs from Jones and Arend highlighted the bunch. While Jared Dupere added one via a solo homerun, his 2nd of the season.

 

Pitching was highlighted by starting pitcher, Danny Gracia. In his first start of this young summer he went 5 innings, struck out 7, and allowed to runs to score. Spencer Bergeron followed with two shutout innings of his own.

 

The Silver Knights move to 1-4 on the season, while Bristol falls to 2-3. Nashua is on the road in Lynn, MA for a rematch against the North Shore Navigators. First pitch will be 10:30am
