Four-time Champ, Manager Kyle Jackson steps down

NASHUA, NH - After the 2024 Futures League season came to a close in Norwich on Sunday, Silver Knights manager Kyle Jackson has announced he will step down from his managerial position ahead of the 2025 season.

Jackson, a four-time FCBL champion with two titles coming as pitching coach and two as manager, will leave the franchise after 11 combined seasons between the two positions, making him the longest tenured coach in Futures League history.

“I would like to thank the Nashua Silver Knights for allowing me to be part of this amazing organization for 11 years,” Jackson said, “To the Creedon family and GM Cam Cook, thank you for trusting me to lead your team for the past five years.”

Team owner John Creedon, Jr. said, “Kyle stepped up for us back in late 2019 when Silver Knights giant, BJ Neverett, retired his position as team manager.  Kyle then led our squad through the improbable covid season in 2020, winning the championship that year.  Then he led the team to win the championship again in highly dramatic, come-from-behind epic fashion in 2022.  I am truly grateful not just for that, but also for Kyle’s steady leadership and stewardship of our players.  Kyle has made hundreds of outstanding Silver Knights baseball players better through his coaching and tutelage. He has certainly now become a Silver Knights giant in his own right.”

It was quite the five years indeed for the Silver Knights, with Nashua capturing their fifth and sixth championships during Jackson’s tenure as head coach. Jackson put together two championship seasons in a three year stretch (2020, 2022) while winning 140 games during his run, just the second manager in Knights history to reach over 100 wins behind Jackson’s predecessor, BJ Neverett.

“I want to thank BJ Neverett for giving me the opportunity 11 years ago to be his pitching coach,” Jackson said, “To my assistant coaches: Brendan Martin, Spencer Bergeron, Noah Wachter and Ariel Ramos, I appreciate your support and the dedication you guys gave to the team each summer.”

Working on Neverett’s staff, Jackson mentored the Nashua pitching staff for six seasons and aided the Knights to back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017.

Jackson’s Silver Knight teams are responsible for two thirds of the franchise’s championships, providing many highlights and memories for Historic Holman Stadium and fans across New Hampshire. 

“KJax” will leave Holman with Nashua sitting atop the Futures League with six total titles, largely in part to his reign and leadership.

Now, Jackson can hang his hat in exchange for some much deserved family time.

“To my wife, Racheal, and my sons, Corbin and Landon: thank you for supporting me and allowing me to do what I love each summer. I wouldn’t have been the coach I am without you. To every player I have coached: it has been an honor to step in between the lines with you each summer. And lastly, I would like to thank the Silver Knights fans. You are the heartbeat of the Knights and you have embraced me and my family as your own.”

“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Kyle,” General Manager, Cam Cook said. “We’ve been together 8 seasons, and shared some unbelievable moments together. He’s been an asset to the Silver Knights organization for a long time, and we look forward to giving him his proper recognition before the home opener of the 2025 season.” 

The Nashua Silver Knights thank Kyle Jackson for his 11 years of hard work, loyalty, and dedication to the franchise.  The team invites fans from the Nashua community to join them in honoring Kyle Jackson at the team’s home opening day in 2025.
