Holman was in hysterics. A Shane Wockley three-RBI double had the fans capped off a six-run seventh inning as the Knights now held an 8-4 lead. Just two innings away from their fourth straight victory, the Knights and their fans were not ready for what Norwich had in store.

Nashua, in a rollercoaster of a ballgame, fell 13-8 on Monday night to the second-place Sea Unicorns. After a six spot in the seventh, Norwich exploded for nine runs in the top of the eighth. Behind a three-run home run from New Haven’s Andrew Bianco to tie the game up at eight, the Sea Unicorns had five hits and five walks to silence the Holman crowd.

Just a half inning before the nine spot, it was Nashua who was in the driver's seat. New England’s Luca Giallongo led off with an infield single, as the Knights tried to battle back from a 4-2 deficit. Giallongo would steal second and third, coming around to score on an E4 to make it 4-3.

Knights would work four walks in the inning to bring home the tying run before Mount Saint Mary’s Shane Wockley smoked one down the line for a bases-clearing two-bagger. Once down 2-0 and 4-2, the Knights finally took a lead for a big 8-4 advantage.

On the other side of the bump is where things would get ugly for Nashua. Eight arms were used for the Knights on Monday night, ahead of a big week of games. Overall as a staff, the Knights had trouble finding the zone with 14 combined walks. Wake Forest’s Will Ray would walk in the go-ahead run for Norwich in the eighth before the Unicorns added four more.

Feeling shell-shocked, the Knights went quietly in the eighth and ninth for their first loss in over a week. Now heading back on the road til Thursday, Nashua will try and get back in the win column with a doubleheader against Westfield on Tuesday.
