The Futures League Hot Stove on November 8 will feature a college recruiting panel consisting of 4 NCAA baseball and softball coaches. The panel will be made up of:
Mike Glavine (Northeastern): A highly decorated coach with multiple CAA, NEIBA, ABCA, and ECAC Coach of the Year honors, has led Northeastern baseball for 11 seasons (19 overall with the program), guiding the Huskies to a 357-222-1 record, 164 CAA wins, and four NCAA tournament appearances—including their only two at-large bids in the modern era.
Matt Noone (Babson): Now in his 24th season as Babson’s head baseball coach, has surpassed 500 career wins and led the Beavers to eight postseason appearances, highlighted by their historic run to the 2019 NCAA Division III College World Series. Under his leadership, Babson has captured five NEWMAC titles, including their most recent in 2024, and enjoyed the most successful stretch in program history with three straight league titles and a school-record 39 wins in 2019.
Mike Odenwaelder (Eastern Connecticut State): Hired as Eastern Connecticut’s eighth head coach in 2022, Odenwaelder quickly guided the Warriors to back-to-back NCAA appearances, an LEC tournament title in 2023, and a share of the 2024 regular-season crown. In just two years, his teams earned 22 national Top-25 rankings, produced multiple All-Americans and All-New England honorees, 17 All-LEC selections, and 21 LEC All-Academic athletes, while also capturing several major departmental awards for excellence and sportsmanship.
Noelle Sass (Rivier University): In just her second season as Rivier’s head coach, Noelle Sass led the Raiders to their best finish since 2012 (26-14), hosting Pod Play for the first time since the program’s 2010 championship run and producing two GNAC all-conference honorees. A former Bentley assistant who helped set program win records and earn an NCAA berth, Sass has quickly elevated Rivier’s program while bringing proven player development and recruiting success.
The panel will be moderated by Alex Dion, who is the former manager and current Director of Player Personnel for the Worcester Bravehearts. This panel will provide young athletes with valuable insight into the college recruiting process, highlighting what coaches look for and how to navigate the journey. The panel is held at Rivier University in Sylvia Trottier Hall and will begin at 5:00pm on November 8th. To get your tickets click HERE
