The Nashua Silver Knights traveled to LeLacheur Park on Monday night and dropped a 7-3 decision to the Lowell Spinners, digging too deep a hole to climb out of.

Lowell jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on RBI hits from Quinn Murphy, Aidan Driscoll, and Bradley McCafferty. The Spinners kept adding on, scoring in the second, fourth, and fifth innings to push the lead to 7-0 before Nashua could answer.

The Knights scored three in the sixth on a Nate Kearney (Stonehill) RBI groundout, a Peter Fischer (St. Anselm) sacrifice fly, and Phoenix Williams (Mount St. Mary’s) stealing home, but it wasn’t enough.

Lucas Collins (University of Dayton) took the loss, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits over 2 innings. Ryan Maiorano (Fairfield) and Declan Wilkes (Lehigh) each tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief.

The Silver Knights fall to 10-12 as the Spinners improve to 7-18. Nashua hits the road Wednesday night to take on the Worcester Bravehearts at 6:30 pm
