NASHUA, N.H. — October 29, 2026 — The Nashua Silver Knights are pleased to announce the hiring of Riley Palmer as the team’s new Field Manager for the 2027 season.

Palmer brings a wealth of experience to Nashua, combining a professional playing career in the Baltimore Orioles organization with an extensive background in player development and coaching at the collegiate, high school, and travel baseball levels.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome Riley to the Silver Knights organization,” said Silver Knights General Manager Cam Cook. “Riley has a tremendous knowledge of the game and a passion for player development. His ability to connect with players and his understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level will make him a great fit on the field and in the clubhouse. We’re very happy to have Riley back in the Granite State and at Holman Stadium all summer long.”

A former standout at Southern New Hampshire University, Palmer began his collegiate career at Franklin Pierce University before transferring to SNHU, where he spent three seasons as a starter. Following his collegiate career, Palmer was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the MLB Draft and went on to play professionally from 2014 through 2017.

His professional playing experience included time with the Aberdeen IronBirds and Delmarva Shorebirds in the Orioles organization, as well as the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League and Westside Woolly Mammoths of the United Shore Professional Baseball League.

Following his playing career, Palmer transitioned into coaching, developing a strong background in hitting instruction, defensive development, strength and conditioning, and player mentorship.

Palmer currently serves as an assistant coach at Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota, where he works primarily with hitters and fielders. He has also coached with the Minnesota Blizzard baseball program, Gig Harbor High School in Washington, and Narrows Baseball Club, where he held both head and assistant coaching responsibilities.

“I am honored to be coaching the Nashua Silver Knights. I look forward to working with the organization and those in front of and behind the scenes in the club. I am beyond excited to get to know the players and build on the potential this team has. I look forward to helping the players develop and compete at a high level,” said Palmer.

Throughout his coaching career, Palmer has emphasized developing complete baseball players through discipline, preparation, communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

His coaching philosophy extends beyond on-field performance, placing a strong emphasis on building relationships with players, creating a positive clubhouse environment, and preparing athletes for the demands of playing at the next level.
