The Nashua Silver Knights hosted the Lowell Spinners on Wednesday night at Historic Holman Stadium in a game streamed live on NESN, putting up a big first inning and cruising to a 10-4 win.

Nashua sent nine batters to the plate in the first, scoring five runs. Hudson Story (Bryant) doubled home Phoenix Williams (Mount St. Mary’s), Peter Keblinsky (University of Southern Maine) followed with a two-run single, Nate Kearney (Stonehill) tripled home Keblinsky, and Hunter Troiano (Gannon) singled in Kearney to make it 5-0 before Lowell could even bat.

The Knights kept adding on, with Kearney driving in another run in the third, and Caleb Vacchiano (University of Southern Maine) and Connor Smith (Gannon) each adding RBI hits in the sixth to push the lead to 8-0. Robby Grasso (Lehigh) and Peter Keblinsky each knocked in runs in the eighth to set the final at 10-4.

Will Perkowski (University of Dayton) was dominant on the mound, tossing 6 shutout innings on just 3 hits with 6 strikeouts to earn the win.

The Silver Knights improve to 9-11 as the Spinners fall to 5-15. Nashua hits the road tomorrow night to take on the Vermont Lake Monsters at 6:35 pm.
