The Knights played game 2 of their 3-game series against the Lowell Spinners on Saturday night.

 

After going up 1-0 in the 3rd inning via an error, the Knights tacked on 3 more runs, making it 4-0 in the 4th inning after a Hunter Troiano (Gannon) RBI double and a 2-run error. They made it 6-0 in the 5th inning after two unearned runs crossed.

 

After tacking on 4 more runs in the 6th inning, the Knights walked the game off via the mercy rule in the 7th inning on a Nate Kearney (Stonehill) RBI triple, making the score 11-1.

 

Nigel Cross (Wentworth Institute of Technology) started the game for the Silver Knights and pitched 4.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits while tallying 4 strikeouts. The win went to Michael Cobb (JWU), who pitched 1.1 scoreless innings in relief. Finn Ramseyer (St. Anselm) took the loss for the spinners after allowing 1 run (unearned) on 3 hits.

 

The Silver Knights improve their record to 2-2 as the Spinners fall to 0-3. The teams will play game 3 of their 3-game series on Monday at 6:03 pm at Historic Holman Stadium
