The Nashua Silver Knights hosted the Lowell Spinners on Thursday night at Historic Holman Stadium, dropping a tough 1-0 decision in a game that took just 2 hours and 11 minutes to play.
Neither team scored through six innings in a tightly contested pitchers’ duel. Lowell broke through in the seventh when Cam Biller (Mount St. Mary’s) scored on a Nic Lembo (High Point) sacrifice fly, and that was all the Spinners would need.
Malcolm Klingler (Northeastern) was excellent, tossing 6 shutout innings with 8 strikeouts on just 3 hits. Brody Bump (Millersville) took the loss after allowing the game’s only run in the seventh inning. Aaron Forgues (Hobart) closed things out with a scoreless ninth.
The Silver Knights were held to just 2 hits on the night, managing little against Matt Pappalardo (Endicott) and Ian Keusch (Brown).
The Silver Knights fall to 10-14 as the Spinners improve to 8-18. Nashua returns home Friday night to host the New Britain Bees at Historic Holman Stadium at 6:03 pm.
