The Nashua Silver Knights hosted the Lowell Spinners on Monday night at Historic Holman Stadium, erasing a 4-0 deficit to win 8-5 and extend their winning streak to two.
Lowell jumped out quickly, scoring once in the first and three more in the third on RBI hits from Andrew Johnston and Zander Bratspis to lead 4-0. Nashua started chipping away in the fourth on a Mike Villani (Stony Brook) sacrifice fly, then added another in the fifth on a Connor Smith (Gannon) RBI single.
The Knights tied it in the sixth with three runs, getting an unearned run on a Villani fielder’s choice, a Ben Peterson (Saint Joseph’s) sacrifice fly, and a wild pitch that scored Villani to make it 5-4. Nashua broke it open in the eighth when Peter Keblinsky (University of Southern Maine) singled home AJ Kolb (Towson) and Hudson Story (Bryant) followed with a two-run single to set the final at 8-5.
Josh Florence (Stonehill) started and allowed 4 runs over 3 innings. Jackson Pecor (Eastern Connecticut State) was sharp in relief, tossing 2 scoreless innings. Brody Bump (Millersville) picked up the win, and Aaron Forgues (Hobart) earned his third save of the season.
The Silver Knights improve to 17-16 as the Spinners fall to 13-23. Nashua returns home tomorrow night to host the Vermont Lake Monsters at Historic Holman Stadium at 6:03 pm
