The Nashua Silver Knights hosted the Keene Swamp Bats of the NECBL on Monday night at Historic Holman Stadium in an exhibition game, falling 2-1 in seven innings.
Keene took a 1-0 lead in the first when Charlie Meglio doubled home Chris Polemeni. Nashua tied it in the fourth when Robby Grasso (Lehigh) singled home Caleb Vacchiano (University of Southern Maine), but the Swamp Bats retook the lead for good in the fifth on an Aiden O’Connell RBI single.
The result does not count toward either team’s record. The Silver Knights remain at 19-19 and return to action Tuesday night at Dodd Stadium in Norwich to take on the Sea Unicorns at 6:30 pm.
