The Knights finished their season last night, and the highs and lows of the year would not have been possible without the incredible support of our fans. Every single person who came out to the ballpark—through the wins and the struggles—played an important role in our journey. Your energy and dedication meant the world to our players and staff and we could not thank you enough. Here are some words about the season, touching on the fans, the team, and everything in between:
General Manager Cam Cook
“I want to thank everybody for the support you give us every single year, no matter how good or bad our season goes. It’s hard to imagine just how tough this year has been, but you’ve always had our backs. Thank you to the fans who have been with us since day one and to the new faces we’ve welcomed along the way — we love having you here. We’re already looking forward to next year, with more promos, more fun, and more great ideas from all of you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. I can’t thank you enough.”
Manager Nick Guarino
I truly appreciate all the support, especially in my first year. I know the season didn’t go the way we all wanted, but I learned so much from Cam and John. It all starts with you—the fans—having our players’ backs, and with the host families opening their homes. That means the world to us and is deeply appreciated. I would have loved nothing more than to have a playoff game here tomorrow. Thank you for coming out all summer, and I hope to see you all here again next year.
Owner John Creedon Jr.
“A big thank you to Joyce Powell for leading our host families program. This was a new initiative for us this season, and we’re going to keep building on that momentum. We can’t recruit great players without beds and welcoming homes to host them all summer long. Our goal is to expand this program so we can bring in incredible talent from across the country”.
“I also want to thank Nick, Spencer, and Mooney—we all learned a lot this year. While we hoped today’s game would matter in the standings, even though it’s deflating, we have a standard of excellence here—both from a baseball and fan experience perspective. My focus is on the fans and game-day operations, and in our seven years of owning the team, Cam has been with us since day one. I’m incredibly proud of him, and I believe he’ll take us back to the promised land.
This is about the Silver Knights family. Our goal is that when folks walk out of the ballpark at the end of the night, they’ve had a great time and felt their hard-earned money was well spent. That’s what drives us day in and day out”.
Owner Julie Creedon
“It feels like a homecoming every May when we return. We love seeing both new and familiar faces, and we cannot express our appreciation enough. It’s been a great year, and we’re already looking forward to next season”.
Outfielder Cole Patterson
“It was a great summer, and I hope the fans enjoyed it as much as I did. Even though we went through a rough stretch at the end, I still had a blast every game. Thank you all for supporting us this summer”.
