Pride Nation was out in full force as the Silver Knights took the field rebranded as the Nashua Pride for the night — a tribute to the city’s former professional baseball team. They faced off against the Worcester Bravehearts in a highly anticipated matchup that lived up to the billing. With a season series largely split between the two squads, tensions and competitiveness were high. In front of a sold-out crowd at Holman Stadium, the Pride battled hard throughout the night. However, despite their energy and determination, they ultimately fell short, dropping a 6–4 decision to Worcester.

The Knights gave the ball to Matt Fitzgibbon in this pivotal home game, and he was effective through his first two innings of work, allowing only a single run to the visitors, which made the score 1-0 after two innings as Henry Digiorgio singled in a run.

The Knights’ offense would start their day as they got going with a rally in the 4th inning. Jake Haarde would start off the inning with a single as he got some movement on the bases. Jack Balcer would then single to put two on board for River Hart who would then drive Haarde in on a sacrifice fly. Then with two outs in the inning, Joey Current would single to right to give the Knights a 2-1 lead after four.

Following the Knights rally Fitzgibbon would get into some trouble however as he would not record a single out in the fifth inning as he allowed Worcester to load the bases. With the bases juiced Lucasz Rondeau would come into the ballgame and he pitched well however the Bravehearts got some lucky hits. They would end up scoring three in the frame as they broke the game open as they took a 4-2 lead over the home side.

In the 6th the Bravehearts would strike again as they put up another run as Kaleb Woodward would single in a run to make the lead three for the visitors. The Knights however would respond as in the 7th inning they rallied for the second time in this game. This time it was Patrick Shrake who single in a run to start the inning and following him Will Shaheen would single in another run to make the lead for Worcester just one.

The Bravehearts would add another in the 8th following the Knights rally in the 7th as they added an insurance run to make their lead two and give their bullpen some breathing room. Nashua would rally hard however they were not able to come through in the end as Jaylem Sepulveda shut the door on the Pride giving the visitors a big win.

Offensively the Knights were led by Shrake as he went 2-4 in the ballgame with a key RBI in the 7th. The Hearts were led by Jake Hajdu who also went 2-4 on the day as he was a big factor in this one. Nashua will now look onto tomorrow where they will have a doubleheader at home where they will look to split if not get both games.
