The Knights of New Hampshire hit the road after a dominant homestand where they quickly made work of the competition. With momentum on their side and confidence building, the Knights are finding their rhythm at just the right time as they approach the midpoint of the 2025 season.

The Knights would travel to New Britain and battle the Bees as they inched out a win 2-1 to keep their hot streak going. The Knights’ arms again would be the catalyst in this win as they were firing right out of the gates. Will Perkowski was on the hill again as he is the Knights’s go-to guy on Friday nights. Perkowski showed another great outing as he held the Bees scoreless through his three innings of work.

Following Perkowski, Lucas Rondeau would come into the toss and he was just as good as Perkowski as he would also go three innings with minimal trouble. His one hiccup would come in the 6th inning as Brennan Staubley doubled to drive in a run for New Britain.

The Knights’s offense up to this point had little to no momentum as they were held scoreless through the first seven frames.

The boys from up north would get it going however in the 8th. Dave Yorke and Cole Patterson would get aboard to start the inning. With two outs in the inning, Anthony Grabau would also get aboard as he was hit by a pitch to make the bases loaded. Then with the game essentially on his bat, Jake Haarde would drive a single that would score two runs and put the Knights ahead 2-1 going into the bottom 8th.

The Knights bullpen in Brennan Rumpf and Kevin Bagshaw would toss a scoreless 8th and 9th as the Knights would squeak out an important win on the road in New Britain. The Knights are now 11-8 on the year and are drawing close to Vermont in second place. They will be back in action tomorrow night on the road at Norwich.
