Nashua, NH – It was another rough day for the Nashua Silver Knights as they hosted the Westfield Starfires at home. The Starfires capitalized on big innings all day to roll to an 11-3 victory on the road.

For the Knights, they played from behind all game as the Starfires struck early in the 1st inning. They would then follow that up with another run score in the second inning to give them a 2-0 lead. Nashua, however, would strike back in the 3rd as Tommy Ahlers would double in Chase Roberts to give the home side their first run of the game. Nashua would tack on one more in the 4th, tying the game up at two. This time, it was Jack Kidwell who drove in Joey Current.

Westfield in the 5th would explode as they broke the game wide open. They would score three runs on two singles as both Anthony Ruggerio and Cooper Tarintino would pick up RBIs for the road team. From then on, it was all Westfield as they would score six more runs on their route to a big victory on the road. Nashua would rally, however, in the 9th as they showed some grit. Jake Samela would drive in Ahlers as the Knights would plate their fourth and final run of the ballgame.

Notably for the Knights, Nolan Mederos would toss a scoreless shutout inning on the mound for the Knights. They also saw key contributions from the whole lineup in the game, as 9 out of 10 batters that played were able to get a hit. The Knights would finish the game giving up 14 hits; however, what hurt them was their five errors committed in this ballgame. The Knights will look to regroup before playing their final two games of the season.
