Knights Pull Out Home Win

 It was a pitcher's duel early, as Silver Knight starter Evan Christopulos (Bentley) tossed 5 scoreless innings, before being touched up for 2 runs in the 6th. Bristol tacked on another in the top of the 7th before the Silver Knights came storming back.

 

Down 2 runs entering the late innings, the hot bat of Phoenix Hernandez (SNHU) came up big again as he launched a solo homerun to straight-away center field to cut the defecit to just 1. In the home half of the 8th, Dylan Jones (FPU) tied things up with a double to bring home Noah Lucier (Stonehill). This was folowed by Hernandez once again coming to the dish, he singled in Jones to give the Knights the lead.

 

Kyle Skidmore (Hofstra) entered the 9th to slam the door and give the Knights the W. After the leadoff batter reached on an error, Skidmore got the next 3 in order, stranding the tying run at 3rd base just 90 feet away. Skidmore picked up his 2nd save of the season and the Knights move back to .500

 

The Silver Knights travel down to Bristol on Monday for a rematch against the Blues. Nashua sits just 3 games out of first place in the current standings, and only 1 game back of earning a home playoff game.
