Silver Knights Add Ariel Ramos to Coaching Staff

Former Daniel Webster pitcher and U.S. Marine named Assistant Coach

[NASHUA, NH, September 2019] The Nashua Silver Knights have made an addition to their 2020 coaching staff in the form of Ariel Ramos. Ramos, a former pitcher at Daniel Webster College from 2013-2015, returns to Nashua not only as the Silver Knights new Assistant Coach, but also as a member of the Rivier University coaching staff.

Ramos saw success playing at the Division III level as well as in some Independent leagues. He has been in the coaching realm for five years now. Starting as a pitching coach for Daniel Webster, followed by a season as a pitching consultant at NHTI. Most recently, Ramos was the Assistant Coach for the North Shore Navigators of the FCBL. North Shore saw one of their best seasons in 2019, finishing with 30 wins and taking down the Silver Knights in the first round of the playoffs before falling in 3 games to the Bristol Blues. The Navigators also produced the league’s MVP and top relief pitcher.

“It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that strives for success on and off the field,” said Ramos. “It will be an honor as well to work under Manager Kyle Jackson on the field. His expertise and knowledge of the game and pitching is very admirable.”

In addition to his baseball prowess, Ramos also spent time in the United States Marine Corps with an 8-year combat deployment to Afghanistan. Ramos is also the owner of a bat company called Gryphon Bat Co. out of Manchester, NH. His work is well represented in the FCBL and throughout New England baseball.

“Ariel is a great guy with a good baseball mind,” said Silver Knights Field Manager Kyle Jackson. “He will bring in a little bit different of a view and style, which will make us more diverse and a well-rounded program.”

We welcome Ariel Ramos back to Nashua baseball and look forward to seeing his impact on the Silver Knights in the 2020 season.
