Late Innings Big for Knights

 The North Shore Navs came to Holman Stadium on Tuesday looking to take sole possesion of first place. Evan Christopulos (Bentley) took the mound for the Knights and gave a solid performance. Going 5 innings and striking out 7, while only allowing 2 earned runs. 

 

Things looked bleak offensively for the Knights until the 7th inning. Dylan Jones (FPU) put the Knights on the board with a 2 run single to cut the defecit to just 1. After an intentional walk to La Rocca (SNHU), Dupere (Northeastern) made them pay with a 2 run single of his own to give Nashua the lead. Dupere tacked on another 2 runs in the following inning on an 0-2 fastball with the bases loaded and 2 outs. He finished the game with 4 RBIs

 

Griffin Young (Wheaton) picked up the W for Nashua, while Jack Pawloski earned the save. Nashua is back in action on Wednesday as they will travel to Westfield to take on the last place Starfires.
