Blues Take Down Knights

Tonight’s matchup against the Bristol Blues, the Silver Knights were handed a [score] loss

to bring their overall season record to 12–12.

Some bright moments for the Knights included a 1-2-3 inning for Alex Shafer #38, an RBI
for Dylan Jones #6 in the first inning, and one RBI each for Luis Atiles #5 and Mike La
Rocca #30 — on a fielder’s choice and wild pitch, respectively.

The rest of the Silver Knights’ play left something to be desired. Despite an effort to stay
competitive, the Knights saw their downfall with the Blues’ superior hitting taking advantage
of shaky pitching — the Knights went through seven pitchers total, including catcher Jack
Arend #4’s appearance in the ninth inning. The Knights also managed to leave eight runners
on base, unfortunately failing to close the deal on any more than their three runs.

The Silver Knights travel to Westfield tomorrow for a doubleheader against the Starfires,
with the first game scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
